A successful Telford hairdressing business has expanded with the launch of the beauty side of the company.
Nicole Firmstone who manages Backstage Hairdressing in Donnington is now celebrating after opening the beauty salon area of the business.
Based at Athena House on Wellington Road, Nicole said the expansion of the business was the culmination of hard work during the last three years which had now resulted in new members of the team.
Victoria Firmstone, 22, is now a qualified beauty therapist after studying and working at the salon alongside her sister for the last 12 months, whilst 23-year-old Nicole is the salon manager and senior stylist.
The sisters are joined by stylist Amy Lord and graduate stylist Kayleigh Hanson.
Nicole said: “Since launching Backstage Hairdressing in February 2010 the business has gone from strength to strength and being able to expand into the beauty side of the industry is what we have wanted to do for a long time.
“The hairdressing and the beauty go hand in hand and will give people the chance to enjoy a full range of beauty treatments, whilst also being able to have their hair done, all under one roof.
“This is an exciting time for all at Backstage and we look forward to being able to welcome more staff as the beauty side of the business grows.
“Within three years we have built up a portfolio of hundreds of clients including many who have used us since day one and haven’t been anywhere else since which is excellent and we thank them very much for their loyalty.”
Sharon Wyatt, has supported her daughters in their business venture whilst running her own business, Athena Vehicle Solutions, next door to the salon where she is never far away for business advice.
“I am so proud of the effort and dedication the girls have put in to ensure the salon has become a success.
“Nicole and her hardworking staff have shown how strong their aspirations are to be successful despite the economic climate that surrounds us all.
“I wish them all well and look forward to seeing the team at Backstage grow even further over the next 12 months,” Mrs Wyatt said.
The salon is an L’Oreal Professional Colour Salon offering Redken, Racoon and are stockists of GHD, Moroccan Oil and Loreal products. The team are fully trained and offer hair extensions by Racoon International.
