Demand for smaller office units in Bromsgrove is strengthening, according to local commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon LLP, which has just has sold two office buildings in the town after going to final and best offers.
“The rate of sales of smaller office units in Bromsgrove is increasing rapidly as smaller businesses which are presently renting premises become aware of just how reasonable freehold prices are at present,” explains John Dillon, partner at GJS Dillon, which has offices in Bromsgrove and Worcester.
The firm of Chartered Surveyors has just disposed of 16 The Courtyard, Buntsford Gate, Bromsgrove, a 2,281 sq ft two storey office building for £232,750 and 10J Buntsford Park Road, a 1,206 sq ft two storey office / business unit for £75,000. Three firm offers were received for each of the buildings, both of which are on purpose built developments on the outskirts of Bromsgrove town centre.
Mr Dillon says: “With its proximity to the M5, M42, and M40, and to Birmingham, London, and their international airports, a flexible workforce and key lifestyle factors, Bromsgrove remains one of the best places in Worcestershire for a business base, while Worcestershire remains one of the most business-friendly counties.
“At present freehold prices are still historically on the low side, but with the rate of current demand this will change throughout the year, making the next few months a real window of opportunity for businesses to make the move to expand into new premises, especially with banks looking likely to lend more.”
With offices in Worcester and Bromsgrove, GJS Dillon LLP is a firm of Chartered Surveyors which offers a comprehensive commercial property service, and unrivalled geographical coverage, throughout Worcestershire and along the M5 and A38 corridors.
