BNP Paribas Real Estate, acting on behalf of its client Aviva Investors, has secured a lease for new business, Direct to Home, which is trading as Jamie at Home, on unit 3 Boyatt Wood Industrial Estate, Eastleigh, totalling 21,322 sq ft, following a full refurbishment.
Jamie at Home is an independently owned business trading under licence to Jamie Oliver Group, offering the opportunity to consultants to get involved and sell Jamie’s designer-led Jme collection of kitchen and dinnerware through party plan and personal websites.
The acute shortage of larger industrial space in the South Coast, coupled with the continued lack of funding for speculative industrial developments, has seen the local industrial sector perform relatively well.
BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Nella Pang said: “Eastleigh continues to attract major operators, with an influx of recent lettings to big names such as Jamie at Home, Screwfix and Rexel, all taking place within four months of each other. We are very pleased with the outcome of this deal and we hope that we can shortly complete a letting on the last remaining unit within the Estate.”
Aviva Investors are currently undergoing a full refurbishment at Unit 7, totalling 10,576 sq ft.
