Investment management firm Brewin Dolphin has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new business development manager.
James Gadd, 35, from Cardiff, will be working with the Cardiff and Swansea offices to promote the company’s investment management services to Independent Financial Advisers.
With over a decade’s experience in the financial services sector, Mr Gadd brings with him a wealth of skills and expertise to assist in growing the firm’s offering in Wales.
Mr Gadd has previously worked for Standard Life as a broker consultant and MetLife as a sales development manager, where in both roles he was responsible for business development.
James Gadd said: “I’m delighted to join Brewin Dolphin. They have built a strong and enviable reputation in South Wales for delivering bespoke investment management services to IFA’s. Recent research has shown that more Independent Financial Advisers are looking to outsource funds to discretionary fund managers and this is a sector I will be looking to grow at Brewin Dolphin. Being part of the Cardiff and Swansea offices provides a great opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and I look forward to continuing to build on this already impressive client base.”
David Myrddin-Evans, head of Brewin Dolphin’s Cardiff office, said: “James has a proven track record in sales and we’re thrilled he has joined the team. Since we established a presence in Wales in 2006, we have witnessed considerable growth, increasing the funds we manage year on year. We have now set ourselves ambitious targets for the next five years and James’ skills and expertise will be instrumental in helping us achieve these plans. We are confident he will be a great asset to our team.”
Brewin Dolphin is one of the UK’s largest independently-owned private client investment managers. The company has offices in Cardiff and Swansea as well as 38 other offices throughout the United Kingdom and Channel Islands offering a wide range of financial services to clients.
