One of the East Midlands longest established independent accountancy firms, Clayton & Brewill, has promoted Doug Perry to Partner, growing its partnership to four and marking a new era for the sixty-seven year old firm.
Founded in 1946, Clayton & Brewill has had its Midlands head office on Canal Street, close to Nottingham’s city centre and flagship Creative Quarter, since the late 1960’s.
Doug joined the firm in 2004 and qualified in 2007, and is the firm’s first partner promotion in eight years. He was previously Associate Partner.
He joins Clayton & Brewill’s Jeremy Wilson-Mawer, a Partner for over 20 years, Neil South who became Partner in 1995, and Yvonne Jackson, promoted to Partner in 2005.
Doug has a strong reputation of working with creative and online marketing businesses, including Boom Online Marketing Limited, and a track record in financial services, education and training with long-standing clients in this sector including the Nottinghamshire Training Network (NTN).
The firm is now looking to build on its sustained growth, further expanding its portfolio of existing clients, particularly within the creative and online businesses sectors, spearheaded by Doug.
Commenting on his promotion, Doug said: “Becoming Partner at the firm at this time in its long history means a great deal and carries with it a huge sense of achievement from a professional and personal perspective. After nine years with the firm, becoming Partner is an enormous recognition.
“The firm has experienced sustained performance and growth, and I am looking forward to building on our established client base, our reputation for exceptional accountancy service, financial and business advice, and working with my fellow Partners to move the business forward to the next stage. We are focussed on growth and building on our successes to date.”
