Minworth Trade Park has attracted two more tenants making it one of the most successful and diverse Trade Parks in the UK. The lettings to Farr UK and RadshapeRC mean that this 250,000 sq ft development is now 75% let.
Alex Luker of CBRE Global Investors, said: “This is great news for the Trade Park as a whole further adding to our tenant mix. Our agents Harris Lamb, Colliers International and Bartlett Property are continuing to receive good interest in the remaining units where we can satisfy requirements from 3,929 sq ft up to 45,000 sq ft on a site suitable for design and build.”
Farr UK who offer a range of all-terrain vehicles have taken occupation of a 7,782 sq ft unit. Pete Johnson, General Manager at Farr UK, explained: “ This has been a major decision and will help with the future expansion of our business. We have moved our head office from Exeter to Minworth in order to benefit from a central location with superb accessibility helping us to serve the whole country and providing our clients with a better service.”
“Since making the move we have already secured a number of new dealers. We are looking to rapidly expand our network of dealers across the UK and expand our business into new sectors who would benefit from our vehicles. For example we are now offering affordable solutions to the Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue and associated services.”
RadshapeRC have made a shorter move from their current operation in Aston wishing to remain in the area but also benefiting from the superb accessibility at Minworth. They have taken a 7,747 sq ft unit.
Chris Dickinson, Business Development Director at RadshapeRC said: “Our business specialises in radio controlled models making some of our own products but also retailing all of the big brand names. RadshapeRC is a new and exciting brand to RC vehicle hop-up manufacture but the company behind it, Radshape Sheet Metal Ltd, has over 40 years experience in the manufacture of precision sheet metal parts working in many diverse industries spanning global markets. For example in the Automotive sector they are Tier 1 suppliers to companies such as Bentley Motor Cars and Morgan Motor Cars as well as working with Aston Martin on bespoke projects and prototypes.”
Neil Slade of letting agents Harris Lamb added: “Minworth Trade Park has been a real success story and is now very much a benchmark for other such Trade Parks. With only 8 units remaining I am hoping that it won’t be long before we are fully let and possibly looking at building a final phase if we are unable to find a pre let for the remaining site which can accommodate up to 45,000 sq ft-a real opportunity currently for an occupier to take a large unit.”
