The first event since a major manufacturing and engineering network was strengthened will take place in May.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce announced earlier this year that its network dedicated to those in the engineering, manufacturing and automotive industries was being boosted by a partnership with MAS, UKTI and EEF.
The breakfast event – ‘Masterclass – supporting manufacturing & engineering, from 7.45am until 9.30am, will take place at the new Computing and Engineering Building at Coventry University on Friday, May 24.
Speakers will include Paul Noon, the regional UKTI director; Richard Halstead, from EEF; and Lorraine Holmes from MAS.
Angela Tellyn, partnership manager at the Chamber, said: “The Chamber’s history is in offering support and networking opportunities to our manufacturers and engineers – indeed that is how the Chamber of Commerce was formed here 110 years ago.
“We moved to strengthen the network earlier this year by adding to our own expertise and partnering with three of the foremost organisations in this field to help bring real value to all of our businesses in this sector.
“We are very much looking forward to this breakfast event and we want to engage as many manufacturers and engineers in the region as possible.”
Chris White MP will also be speaking at the event which will be led by Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce chief executive Louise Bennett.
Angela added: “The reason we have all come together is to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for business support in the manufacturing and engineering sector.
“This is an actual network for like-minded manufacturing and engineering companies and one which is focused on our SMEs.
“Manufacturers from across Coventry and Warwickshire are invited to attend this informative masterclass to hear from a variety of speakers on a range of important topics.”
The topics will include:
City Deal
Manufacturing Advisory Service
Engineering Employers Federation
Supporting CW Manufacturers & Engineering Companies
