Wooden Spoon Wales were delighted recently to be able to thank the partners and staff of Morgan Cole Cardiff & Swansea offices for their fantastic fundraising efforts.
Huw Thomas (chairman), Phil Dobson (treasurer) & Anthony Evans (Public Relations) of Wooden Spoon Wales visited the Cardiff office and presented 2 framed certificates to Phil Jardine (Managing Partner) who has been instrumental in the ongoing relationship with the charity. Andy Davies and Georgina Graham were also part of the presentation ceremony following their heroic efforts in the inaugural Wooden Spoon ‘Valeride’ last September, a gruelling 44 mile bike ride around the Vale of Glamorgan.
Huw Thomas said “Morgan Cole has been a supporter of Wooden Spoon for some years. The annual Morgan Cole cricket match was a great occasion but it’s not just the big events that we rely on to fund projects in South Wales for the benefit of physically, mentally & socially disadvantaged children. Companies willing to enter a quiz or the bike ride or attend our 6 Nations ‘Clubhouses’ are our life blood.”
“When companies like Morgan Cole get involved in our fundraising efforts, it undoubtedly boosts the capital available to fund projects, but another bonus is that it helps to keep the work of our regional committee connected to local business communities.“ said Phil Dobson.
Recent & current projects include: sensory rooms in Ystrad Mynach, outdoor play areas at special needs schools in the Rhondda, Hydrotherapy pool, sensory garden & sensory lighting in Swansea & west Wales, Multi-Use Games Area at the Sparkle Hospital in Newport and a Community room at the new SCOPE facility in Cardiff.
We look forward to maintaining a strong relationship with Morgan Cole going forward.
