A Worcester building that was used as a recruitment office for the Armed Forces in World War II has gone back to its roots after a local recruitment firm moved in.
eReponse Recruitment Ltd has taken a long-term lease on Chilton House, 37 Foregate Street in Worcester.
The company has had a presence in Worcestershire for a number of years but required a new central location that could house its growing recruitment team and new training arm under one roof.
The three-storey building – marketed by local agents Halls Commercial – is centrally located and boasts ground floor retail space, private offices and fully equipped training facilities.
Paul Alekna, managing director at eResponse Recruitment Limited, said: “The new premises provides enough space to enable us to merge our recruitment and training workshops under one roof, providing a better solution for customers.
“Halls took the time to understand our requirements and 37 Foregate Street matches our needs perfectly. Negotiations were handled professionally, which meant we were able to turn legals around in just two weeks.”
“The move has already created three new positions within the company and we hope to grow the team even further later this year.”

37 Foregate Street was previously occupied by Jonathan Chilton Chartered Surveyors, a company that Halls recently acquired following Jonathan’s retirement. eResponse’s Paul Alekna chose to rename the building Chilton House.
