A specialist in IT and engineering recruitment has opened a new office in Coventry as part of its ongoing expansion.
Advanced Resource Managers (ARM) was founded in 1996 and has grown to become one of the UK’s major recruitment and talent management consultancies with a turnover close to £125million.
ARM has around 200 staff and caters to clients ranging from blue chip companies to start-ups in all sectors from defence and aerospace to oil and gas.
The firm, which has its head office in Havant, now has four sites after moving to the University of Warwick Science Park’s Business Innovation Centre in Binley.
Richard Sutcliffe is the regional manager and will head up the Coventry operation and says the move will improve the level of service ARM can offer to its clients in the area, particularly those in the IT, automotive and engineering sectors.
“This new office is part of ARM’s wider ongoing expansion, which has also seen a new office opened in Aberdeen and plans for more in other parts of the country,” said Sutcliffe.
“We have clients in various sectors and this office is geared towards predominantly servicing the IT, automotive and engineering companies that we work with.
“Binley is the perfect location for this as its proximity to these clients will allow us to offer a higher level of service and learn more about the supply chains involved in their business.
“We looked at a number of locations in the area but the flexibility of the Business Innovation Centre fitted our needs as we hope to be expanding fairly rapidly over the next year.
“It has also been interesting to see how many of the other businesses on the park we can work with, as there are a number of IT and engineering firms.”
Penny Robb, the centre manager at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Business Innovation Centre in Binley, is delighted to have welcomed another new tenant.
“It is fantastic to have ARM joining us here at the Business Innovation Centre in Binley,” she said.
“They are an exciting company that is growing all the time and will not only help skilled local people to find jobs but could well be providing more themselves as they continue to expand.
“ARM is already experiencing the benefits of being surrounded by related companies and we look forward to helping them in any way we can.”
