Hillsborough Regeneration Company has signed two new occupiers, Dulux Decorator Centres and Floor Décor to its recently completed trade counter development scheme on the corner of Penistone Road and Herries Road South in Sheffield.
These deals follow pre-lets last year to Screwfix, the UK’s largest multi-channel supplier of trade tools, and YESSS Electrical, a wholesaler of electrical products. Both are now in occupation alongside James Hargreaves Ltd, a long standing tenant of the estate.
Dulux Decorator Centres, the UK’s leading decorating specialist, has secured unit 5, a 3,960 sq ft facility, whilst Floor Décor, Sheffield’s premier supplier of the finest floor coverings, has secured unit 6, also a 3,960 sq ft facility.
James Hickling, store manager at Dulux Decorator Centres in Sheffield, commented: “We are always looking for ways to ensure our service stays at the highest level and moving to this new, easily accessible location is a great way to continue this. Becoming a part of this central trade point is something which we feel will be beneficial to our customers and are excited to settle into our new home.”
BNP Paribas Real Estate, the leading property adviser, working alongside joint letting agent Newbould Commercial, has secured these lettings on behalf of client Hillsborough Regeneration Company, which is led by Jaguar Estates and Wortley Developments.
This flagship scheme comprises eight high quality, refurbished trade warehouse units, ranging from 3,960 sq ft to 10,160 sq ft and totalling 47,430 sq ft. Currently, only three units remain available, Unit 1, totalling 5,800 sq ft, Unit 2 totalling 7,850 sq ft and Unit 7, totalling 10,160 sq ft.
Patrick Herbert of Jaguar Estates, said: “We are very pleased to have signed both a strong national and local occupier to the scheme. The signage is now going up for the new tenants and the site is beginning to take shape. We have three units still available which would suit either the building industry to compliment the new occupiers or even the leisure sector. The success so far is down to the site being on the busiest highway in the city and the interest generated proves the re-invention of the buildings was worth it.”
Stuart Waite, of BNP Paribas Real Estate, added: “Securing leading retailers such as Dulux Decorator Centres and Floor Décor to the site further highlights the top quality facilities on offer and trading potential of Hillsborough Trade Point. We are in talks with other local and national operators, who are also keen to secure space within this high profile location.”
The site is prominently located at the junction of Penistone Road and Herries Road South, one of the main arterial routes that connect Sheffield centre to the North of the City. The site neighbours Sheffield Wednesday football stadium and is set within an established commercial location. Traffic flows in excess of 50,000 pass the site each day, providing excellent exposure to passing trade.
