ArmourWorks, the Gloucester-based company specialising in military and civil armour and technology, is expanding into a second unit at Gloucester Business Park to enhance new product development, manufacturing and distribution.
The company, currently based at 26 Bamel Way, has taken Unit E4, a 9,050 sq ft industrial unit at Nexus 2, more than doubling its presence on the Business Park.
Property consultants Alder King, acting jointly with Cushman & Wakefield, negotiated the deal on behalf of the landlord Countrywide Assured plc. ArmourWorks has taken the property on a new 10 year lease.
Unit E4 was the last remaining unit on Nexus 2, the second phase of the popular Nexus development. The property comprises 7,399 sq ft of high quality industrial/warehouse space with 1,651 sq ft of fully fitted office accommodation at first floor level. Other occupiers include Pickfords, Wessex Products and Hour Glass Seal.
Rob Holley of Alder King’s Gloucester office said: “ArmourWorks has been a great success story in the defence and aerospace market, with an excellent track record in UK design, R&D and product innovation, leading to its investment in new premises. Obviously the ability to find a high quality unit adjacent to its existing facility was a compelling factor in its decision.”
