Lodders Solicitors has appointed its first marketing director as the firm sets out on a new era of growth.
Hilary Campton, a marketing specialist in the professional services sector, joins Lodders on a consultancy basis having founded her own business V Formation in March 2007 with the aim of helping professional services firms achieve a competitive edge.
She has worked with law firms, accountancy practices, training companies, insurance brokers and intellectual property specialists.
Before founding V Formation, her in-house roles included Berryman Solicitors in Nottingham, accountants Arthur Andersen and Tyco.
Lodders’ marketing partner Paul Mourton said: “Hilary comes with an impressive track record and is precisely the person we were seeking to help us take Lodders forward.
“Our business relationship with Hilary developed through her role as regional director both of the Professional Marketing Forum and the Managing Partners Forum.
“The gradual fragmentation of the legal marketplace and the introduction of issues such as alternative business structures bring opportunities as well as threats, and we decided we needed to take our marketing and business development to a new level.
“We knew Hilary from having worked with her and so we are delighted she has agreed to join us and spearhead our expansion.”
Hilary Campton said: “From its offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden and Cirencester, Lodders has built a powerful reputation over more than two centuries in the private client and agricultural and landowner sectors.
“Lodders’ renowned private client team is first choice for a growing number of high net worth individuals who are attracted by the partner-led personal service.
“The firm has a growing reputation in real estate and in business law, particularly for family-owned and SME businesses, and we intend to widen awareness both of the range of services that Lodders offers and also the personal attention to detail offered by partners and associates.”
Outside of her professional services role, Ms Campton is also a volunteer befriender with Age UK and a trustee of Big Difference Company, the arts and health organisation behind the long running Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, voted by the Guardian as one of the world’s top five comedy festivals.
