Active Q1 for Eddisons’ Peterborough agency

Highlights of the firm’s agency deals in Peterborough include the sale of an 180,000 sq ft warehouse freehold on Southgate Way, Orton Southgate

The Peterborough agency of Eddisons reports that the first quarter of the year has seen its activity levels – number of sales & lettings agreed – tracking at 10 per cent more than the levels for the same period of 2024 – with a number of key transactions concluded in the city itself since January.

Highlights of the firm’s agency deals in Peterborough so far this year have included: the freehold owner occupier acquisition of Saxon House, a 30,000 sq ft office building on Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate; the sale of an 180,000 sq ft warehouse freehold on Southgate Way – also in Orton Southgate – on behalf of a global investment fund client; and the freehold sale of Peterborough solicitors, Hunt & Coombs’ former office building – 12,500 sq ft – on Thorpe Road in the city centre.

Reporting first quarter activity of the Peterborough agency, Gavin Hynes, Director, Eddisons, commented, “In 2025’s activity levels tracking, so far, at 10 per cent more than last year, it’s worth noting that 2024’s activity levels were, in themselves, above that of the previous year, 2023.

“Given that the national and international geopolitical context in which businesses were operating at the end of last year continued through the first quarter of this year, such levels are a solid performance for our Peterborough team.”
