Commercial agents at Harris Lamb have let a Coventry warehouse to an international logistics firm looking to expand its operations from the city.
Acting for Leeson Polyurethanes Ltd, Harris Lamb oversaw the assignment of Unit 5, Cyan Park, a 27,900 sqft modern warehouse located on an established business park off the A444 in Coventry, to Network International Cargo.
Harris Lamb initially acted for the landlord in disposing of the property to Leeson Polyurethanes in 2021 for business continuity following a fire at a regional premises and further to the business relocating back to their original base, the Agency team were instructed to let the unexpired lease.
Neil Slade, who oversaw the transaction with Ashley Brown, said: “As a modern, well-appointed opportunity with excellent national transport links, there was a great deal of interest in the property and following a swift marketing period and multiple viewings, we quickly agreed terms and assigned the lease to Network International Cargo.
“Established more than 30 years ago, the business has facilities in Ireland, UK and a range of partners across the world, enabling it to provide logistics and intermodal solutions by road, air and sea. Having outgrown it’s existing Coventry base, the firm was seeking an alternative site to expand its operations.
“It is encouraging to see that demand and take-up for good quality mid-box units throughout the Midlands remains strong despite recent headwinds. This property quickly progressed from marketing stage to completion with minimal void and with a general undersupply of similar opportunities, we are seeing keen interest in similar industrial properties across the region,” he added.
