Property consultants Alder King, acting jointly with Rumsey & Partners on behalf of Jasper Co Ltd, have secured the freehold sale of the former Virgin Media office at Midpoint Business Park, Staverton.
The property has been purchased for an undisclosed sum by Horsebridge Network Systems Ltd, provider of communication network and security infrastructure solutions, for use as its new international headquarters and house its rapidly expanding 24x7x365 network Operations Centre.
At 8,757 sq ft (847 sq m), the property is triple the floor space of Horsebridge’s current headquarters at Pate Court, North Place in Cheltenham, providing an improved working environment for the company’s fast-growing workforce, new warehousing capacity and generous car parking.
Geoff Smith, Managing Director at Horsebridge, said: “We have undergone a significant period of expansion over the past 18 months, which has seen us invest internationally in our underlying infrastructure. In the UK alone, our local workforce has grown from 20 staff 18 months ago to 50 staff today, complementing our growing presence in UAE, Kenya and Malaysia. This property provides us with an excellent UK based platform for continued growth.”
Adrian Rowley, partner at Alder King’s Gloucester who negotiated the deal, said: “It’s vital for Gloucestershire’s economy that successful indigenous businesses, many of whom are in the technology sector, are able to find modern, well-located commercial space to ensure their continued growth. This property secures the future for this highly successful business.”
