Two more businesses announce move to Bristol’s newly refurbished BLOK building

The newly refurbished BLOK office hub situated in the heart of Bristol’s bustling commercial district has announced the arrival of two new tenants.

Financial planning and wealth management company atomos will join full-service branding agency Chase Design Group in setting up their new bases at the One Castlepark site, which recently underwent a major £12m refurbishment.

Joining the likes of Basekit, 5 Values Consulting, RWK Goodman, Irwin Mitchell Solicitors and Coreus Group, the latest arrivals will take capacity of the 70,000 sq ft of modern office workspace up to 75%.

Chase Design Group is moving into 2,415 sq ft of fully fitted office space, while atomos has also taken a fully fitted option at 4,882 sq ft.

With offices across the UK, atomos provides expert financial advice and portfolio management for families and business owners covering retirement plans and pensions, investments, passing on family wealth, making use of available tax reliefs and allowances, planning for later life care and protecting your family finances.

Rory Stuart, Head of Financial Planning in Bristol, and Peter Finnigan, Head of Portfolio Management in Bristol, both shared: “BLOK is an excellent new base for our Bristol operations. We’re proud to provide our team with a modern, well-equipped, and comfortable workspace and look forward to welcoming our clients to this fantastic new environment as we continue to deliver exceptional service.”

Branding and strategy specialists, Chase Design Group, which also has offices in Los Angeles and New York, has worked with a range of big-name clients such as PepsiCo and Procter and Gamble, as well as creating iconography for such movies and TV shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Disney’s Maleficent and The Flash.

Alice Short, Chase Design Group’s studio manager in the UK, comments: “We are very excited at the prospect of moving into our new offices at BLOK. We are a business which delivers in a modern and vibrant industry and we wanted an office space where our team can be both inspired and creative, which is precisely what BLOK provides.”

A contemporary office hub located in the heart of the city, BLOK boasts excellent transport networks via road, rail and the nearby international airport.

The building includes a further 11,000 sq ft of welfare and amenity space, including a communal lounge, meeting rooms, a courtyard garden, roof terrace, private gym and the Commune Café, an independent coffee shop run by local brewer Left Handed Giant.

Real Estate specialists, Boultbee Brooks, purchased the tired-looking 1980s-built property in 2021 and through an extensive refurbishment, has breathed new life into what is now a most welcome state-of-the-art addition to the Bristol business community.

The process of ‘reimagining instead of rebuilding’ has prioritised sustainability and occupier experience, reflecting in the extensive building certification which includes BREEAM, very good EPC A, Fitwell 2* and Activescore Platinum.

Boultbee Brooks Managing Director, James Whitcher, comments: “BLOK continues to attract some of the biggest and best businesses from across the south west and we are delighted to welcome both atomos and Chase Design Group to the building.

“We are now at 75% capacity and with the recent opening of the Commune Café, we are confident that the completed refurbishment works will ensure a full tenancy of BLOK in the very near future.”

Further space is available on flexible terms and layouts from 1,000 sq ft up to 12,000 sq ft via Savills and CBRE real estate services.
