Detailed designs for a new £3.5 million mid-box industrial and logistics warehouse at Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, have been given the green light.
Tungsten Properties, one of the UK’s leading industrial and warehouse developers, had submitted a planning application which has been approved by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
Tungsten will speculatively develop ‘Nuneaton 37’ which will total 36,730 sq ft (3,412 sq m).
Nuneaton 37 will target BREEAM Very Good and EPC A and include 10 metre eaves, three loading doors, a secure self-contained yard and fully fitted office.
Bermuda Park is located at junction 3, M6 motorway and is home to companies which include Evri, Unipart, GIST and HelloFresh.
The project is forecast to create circa 150 construction roles and, once the building has been completed, house up to 95 employment jobs.
Jenny Clarke, associate development director, Tungsten Properties said: “We are pleased to have secured planning consent and look forward to developing a modern sustainable industrial and logistics facility to meet the high demand from companies needing to be located centrally with direct access to the M6 motorway. Our investment will create local jobs in both the construction and end use phase.”
Adam McGuinness, partner, industrial agency team – Birmingham, Carter Jonas added: “This is a positive result for both Tungsten and the Nuneaton and Coventry market. The speculative delivery of Nuneaton 37 will be well-received by both local and national businesses seeking a delivered solution and access to local skilled labour pools. We look forward to engaging with occupiers about the potential opportunities.”
Nuneaton 37 construction is due to start in late November/early December and will target practical completion in Q3 2025.
Carter Jonas and Phillips Sutton are the leasing agents.
