Clarke Willmott acts on exciting Royal Victoria Park deal

Clarke Willmott LLP has assisted Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Council in putting in place a lease and facility management agreement in connection with the Royal Victoria Park and Pavilion in Bath.

The deal will see the delivery of a series of improvements to upgrade facilities at Royal Victoria Park including the refurbishment of the, previously named Pavilion café, which has already been completed.

Repairs to the Pavilion, now named the Treetop Cafe, include works to the external timberwork and improvement works to the embankments to the lower area, the retaining wall and steps between the old bowling green and lower tennis courts, plus fire risk assessment priority works and fencing replacement.

Also included is the upgrade to tennis and golf facilities and the refurbishment of public toilets.

The improvements are good news for visitors to Royal Victoria Park who enjoy seasonal events such as Bath on the Beach and Bath on Ice as well as users of the tennis courts and Adventure Golf Course.

Aman Randhawa, an associate in the commercial property team at Clarke Willmott, worked on the deal alongside Stephen Green, a corporate and commercial partner.

Aman said: “We are delighted to have completed this deal for a long-standing client of our property department, BANES, and we’re glad that all negotiations led to a positive result.

“Royal Victoria Park is an iconic Bath location and it’s great to see the improvements made to area already, which will benefit visitors for many years to come.”
