Abrdn, advised by Haslams, has secured a pre-let to Synergix Logistics Solutions for its Suttons Business Park in Reading joining other occupiers, including Brake Bros, Volution, and SAS International.
The logistics operator has taken the 46,988 sq ft Unit 34, which completed in September and marks a relocation from west London for the firm to the edge of Reading scheme. The company has signed a fifteen-year lease.
Mark Briggs of Abrdn said: “Synergix adds to the pedigree of other tenants at Suttons, and highlights the importance of the business park, its quality of space and superb communications links.”
Neil Seager, managing partner at Haslams – the Park’s agents – said: “This move is indicative of a growing trend that we anticipate will continue due to high rents and displacement driven by data centre demand. Reading presents a more attractive rental market compared to west London.”
He added: “Pre-letting is still quite rare and necessitates a collaborative effort between landlord and tenant. It was a pleasure to work with both parties to achieve this success.”
Jonathan Ford of Synergix, said: “Since being formed in 2020, it has been our mission to deliver outstanding services to our customers in a cost-effective manner. Suttons Business Park provides us excellent distribution links and cements our ability to offer the very best in pallet network, haulage, storage and fulfilment, whilst also improving our environmental goals.”
Suttons Business Park is located 1.5 miles west of Reading town centre at the base of the A329M, with motorway and rail links giving easy access to Heathrow Airport and central London. The business park has over 21 hectares (53 acres) of warehouse, light industrial and retail units totalling 880,000 sq ft.
