Leading commercial property developer, Stoford has secured 82 acres of allocated employment land in Cheshire that could create hundreds of jobs for the region.
A development agreement has been signed on land adjacent to Gadbrook, Northwich, for the delivery of units ranging from 100,000 sq ft to 600,000 sq ft.
The site, located on the A556, 5.8 miles from Junction 19 of the M6, is allocated for employment uses within the Cheshire West Local Plan.
Stoford plans to submit a hybrid planning application in early 2025, consisting of a detailed application for the site access and outline plans for up to 1.1 million sq ft of manufacturing, industrial and logistics accommodation.
Angus Huntley, Director at Stoford said: “We are excited to be bringing forward this development, providing market-leading employment spaces with bespoke options to meet occupier requirements. The site has been allocated for some time without being developed and therefore we look forward to being able to bring value to the local area through a high-quality development and job creation.”
Andrew Lynn, Partner at DTRE said: “The site benefits from excellent connectivity to the M6 corridor via J19 and the national motorway network, providing occupiers with quick access to the key strategic ports in the northwest including Liverpool Port and Manchester Airport. Occupiers will benefit from design and build options specific to their needs.”
The award-winning property developer has delivered more than 2.5 million sq ft of industrial/logistics accommodation in the last twelve months alone. Recent schemes by Stoford in the northwest include the construction of a 667,000 sq ft state-of-the-art logistics centre at Hooton Park Airfield, Ellesmere Port on behalf of Stellantis and 1.1 million sq ft for THG at Manchester Airport City South.
Wallis Real Estate and HCR Law advised the Landowner, and DTRE and Gateley advised Stoford. Stoford’s professional team include Asteer Planning, UMC Architects, JPG, BWB, Hoare Lea and Wakemans.
