Located in a prime location adjacent to the M5 motorway, it’s no wonder that Westpark 26 Business Park continues to attract new occupiers.
All 26 units within blocks three and four have now sold at the business park based in Wellington, Somerset, and Taunton-based Summerfield Developments, who built the park, have recently received full planning consent to commence construction of a new block. This will provide a further sixteen units, which the developers hope will be ready for occupation before the end of 2013.
Marketing agent Duncan Brown of Greenslade Taylor Hunt says:
“Not surprisingly we continue to receive interest in new units, with occupiers seeing the quality of the business park, its strategic location and the investment potential of buying units to house their businesses being key factors in their decision. Interestingly, a number have bought adjacent units within the first two blocks to provide options for expansion in the future.
We have one unit in the new block in solicitors hands and six others reserved with Heads of Terms agreed, this without our having started any proactive marketing.”
Ben Trickey, Senior Development Surveyor for Summerfield Developments, also commented:
“We have a great mix of occupiers at Westpark 26 and some very successful businesses continue to grow and thrive there. As well as receiving strong interest from companies for larger land-take requirements, we are also very pleased with the interest we’ve received to date in Block B”.
Adjacent to Chelston Business Park, Westpark 26 will total approx 46,450 sq m (500,000 sq ft) of predominantly light industrial and warehouse facilities when completed. The site boasts a hotel and pub along with workshops and starter units. Other proposed uses for the business park are trade counters, offices, health uses, child daycare along with car showrooms and a veterinary clinic.
