BNP Paribas Real Estate, the leading property adviser, has strengthened its South West agency team through the appointment of Daniel Smethurst, who joins as director of Bristol office agency.
Daniel, who has more than 12 years commercial real estate experience, joins the company from a niche commercial property practice, Whitmarsh Lockhart, where he was a partner, responsible for the office agency.
Peter White, senior director of Bristol office agency, said: “Daniel has a proven track record in delivering success and his reputation and experience will be an asset to the existing agency team.”
Daniel’s previous clients have included IVG, Picton Capital, St Martin’s Property Corporation, Mapeley, Zurich, Threadneedle Investments, Aberdeen Property Investors (UK) and CBREGI.
Speaking of his appointment, Daniel said: “It is an exciting time to join the company, due to its commitment to investing in the growth of the business. I am looking forward to contributing to the success of the company going forwards.”
These appointments follow BNP Paribas Real Estate’s recent recruitment of Gavin Willins as head of Scotland, Andrew Meikle as head of Birmingham investment and Edward Wright as a director within its Sheffield rating team.
