Two leading Bristol professional services brands – law firm Shakespeare Martineau and planning, design and development consultancy Marrons – are relocating their Bristol office hub.
The brands are moving less than a mile from their current hub in Queen Square to One Temple Quay in Temple Back East, just a four-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads railway station.
As well as providing 30 desks and four meeting rooms to support agile working, the new hub offers shared access to a collaborative working space, multiple breakout zones, bike storage, outside courtyard, a 140-person auditorium for client events and an onsite restaurant.
Nick Jones, co-head of Shakespeare Martineau’s Bristol hub, said: “It was time for us to move to a space that better reflects our empowered and collaborative working ethos.
“Our new Bristol hub offers a modern, accessible and agile space for our people and clients to work and collaborate in, but it also provides flexibility for the space to continue to grow with us.
“Location means a lot to our clients and, while many firms are retreating from regional locations, we’re continuing to invest in them. Being closer to where our clients need us allows us to better serve them, providing local expertise and accessibility backed by the strength of our 1,200-people-strong national firm.
“We remain absolutely committed to Bristol for the long-term and we look forward to continuing our investments in the South West, growing our team and welcoming clients to our new hub.”
Tom Macklen, architecture director at Marrons, added: “Our move to this new, flexible space reflects our commitment to supporting creativity and collaboration in an environment that aligns with our values of sustainability and growth.
“It is great to be part of Bristol’s dynamic business landscape and we’re eager to continue expanding our presence in the region.”
Both Shakespeare Martineau and Marrons are B Corporations and, as part of their environmental commitments, are refreshing their 13 national hubs with at least 80% recycled, upcycling or sustainably-sourced materials.
Shakespeare Martineau expanded into Bristol in 2022 following its merger with GL Law, adding more than 60 people to the firm, bolstering its existing expertise and further expanding its sector specialisms. As part of its growth strategy into the South West, Marrons moved into Bristol in 2023 with the creation of a new architecture team.
The two brands, which are part of top 50 legal and professional services group Ampa, are proactively recruiting lateral hires, teams and brands.
