An ambitious, high-quality, bespoke kitchen manufacturer is opening doors to further expansion after launching a new showroom in the West Midlands.
Minerva Design has opened for business at a 978 sq ft retail unit in Tiddington, Stratford Upon Avon, after agreeing a long lease in a deal secured by commercial property consultancy Johnson Fellows.
Based in rural Herefordshire, the company wanted to expand into a busier, affluent and unsaturated region, yet was looking for a location relatively close to its HQ and production facilities, Matthew Cruse, managing director of Minerva Design, said.
“Copious hours went into researching the right location and shop and we felt that Tiddington was the right place for our first expansion outside of Herefordshire due to being just an hour and a half from our workshops, the perfect size to display a variety of our kitchen collections, close to the centre of an affluent town and easy to access,” he said.
The new showroom features a range of handcrafted cabinetry in both shaker and modern kitchen designs, as well as an array of colours and details to inspire potential clients.
“We are very pleased with the transformation and we hope to be in our new location indefinitely.
“The plan for the business to expand further is to acquire one large workshop so our production facilities can be under one roof and to continue our growth of showrooms throughout the UK. We are currently looking at our third showroom to be slightly further afield and possibly heading towards the Reading/London area,” added Matthew.
Richard Bache, agency partner at Johnson Fellows in Birmingham, said: “It has been a pleasure working alongside Minerva Design and discussing the company’s ambitious plans to expand its presence with a number of new showrooms across the country. Tiddington is an exceptional location for the business and we wish Minerva Design enormous success at the new showroom.”
Minerva Design was founded in 2017 by two skilled joiners who shared a vision of creating handmade cabinetry of exceptional quality. In its early days, the founders handcrafted bespoke pieces for local clients in a small workshop. As their reputation for quality and customer satisfaction grew within the local community, the company decided to specialise in handmade kitchen cabinetry. This led to the acquisition of a workshop unit in Stoke Edith, Herefordshire, which served as both a workshop and showroom. Over the first three years, the company expanded into a small team that included joiners, paint sprayers, fitters, designers, and marketing professionals.
Since 2021, Minerva Design has experienced rapid growth, resulting in the acquisition of three additional workshop units and the opening of a showroom in Canon Frome, Herefordshire. It has ambitious plans for continued growth with additional showrooms across the United Kingdom.
