Runway East (RWE), has signed a 20-year Management Agreement with Peer Group on Borough High Street London. This will be their second site with Peer Group after three years of success at Chapter House, also in the London Bridge area, and cements their place as one of the largest flex operators in SE1.
As sole occupier of the building, they will be managing the circa 12,000 sq ft of space for a community of larger scale-ups and SMEs offering customisable private office suites; with internal meeting rooms & tea points. There will also be an event space and roof terrace on the 6th floor, and a 20-person boardroom.
“Our new site at Borough High Street brings us to three sites in the SE1 area, a fitting addition to our two thriving hubs at London Bridge and Borough Market and providing some of our members with space to scale-up. There is so much activity happening here, and we’ve seen just how much businesses love being in the area – it has the perfect combination of business, leisure, and of course, some of the best food in Europe. It’s acted as a base for commerce to the City of London for almost 2000 years, so I’d say there’s a small amount of historical evidence that suggests it’s a good place to have an office!” shares Natasha Guerra, CEO of Runway East.
The site is expected to open in Q1 2025, and will enjoy a £1m fit-out. The announcement of Borough High Street, comes shortly after the announcement of their 11th site in Soho, London.
Jonathan Dean, Property Director at Peer Group added: “Peer Group are delighted to be working with Runway East once again by delivering fully refurbished high-quality offices in one of our core commercial assets. As long-term property investors in Southwark, building relationships with a dynamic business such as Runway East is essential to our company strategy of offering the full spectrum of office space to the London Bridge Business Community.”
Runway East is a B-Corp certified flexible workspace provider, which has been operational since 2014. Led by Natasha Guerra it has now grown to 12 spaces, across London, Birmingham, Brighton and Bristol. Businesses using their space include Deliveroo, Octopus Energy, and Shake Shack, among other household names.
