A local law firm has renewed its long-standing partnership with Taunton Rugby Club and will provide support for the upcoming 24/25 season.
The Taunton office of national firm Clarke Willmott LLP has sponsored Taunton RFC for over 10 years as part of its commitment to local community sport, which also includes a partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club.
With Taunton RFC celebrating its 150th anniversary and Clarke Willmott celebrating its 135th anniversary there is a synergy between the two well-established Somerset organisations.
Peter Swinburn, CEO of Clarke Willmott, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Taunton Rugby Club. The Club is a key pillar in the local community, with excellent facilities and an exciting squad. We very much want to support the success of the team, as well as share these opportunities and experiences with our clients and contacts.”
Kirill Bingham, partner and head of the Clarke Willmott Taunton office, commented: “It is very exciting to have renewed our long-standing partnership with Taunton Rugby Club, home of the Taunton Titans. Our firm has a strong presence in the sporting law world, acting for big names and clubs across the country. But more importantly than this, we believe in the importance of community sport, and so we are pleased to be involved with this club at the heart of our local community, which gives people the chance to engage with first class sport right on our doorstep.”
Nick Mason, commercial coordinator at Taunton RFC, said: “Taunton Rugby Club are hugely grateful for the continued support from Clarke Wilmott, this year will see them having an increased presence visually around the ground and we look forward to welcoming them on our matchdays. We simply would not be the community club that we are without the support from businesses like Clarke Willmott. We will be entering our 150th anniversary year and look forward to celebrating this with Clarke Willmott being behind us.”
Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton and is this year celebrating its 135th anniversary.
