James Vowles promoted to Head of Building Surveying at Vickery Holman

James Vowles

Leading property consultants Vickery Holman have promoted James Vowles to Head of Building Surveying as part of their ongoing growth plans. James joined Vickery Holman’s Bristol office in 2019, bringing extensive experience of working with commercial property clients.

‘Building Surveying is a core service for our clients.’ Explains James. ‘We have building surveyors working out of our Truro, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol offices so we one of the few companies to provide Building Surveying services across the South West. We undertake a full range of surveys including pre-acquisition surveys, party walls and boundaries, dilapidations, and project monitoring. Our typical clients can be investors, landlords, tenants or lenders so our client base can be quite broad. There are lots of opportunities I’m keen to explore, to continue to support our colleagues in other parts of Vickery Holman for example, our Property Management and lease advisory team, along with continuing to work with our existing client and expand our client base to help them to manage their property portfolios.’

Managing Director Mark Pellow added ‘James has already made a significant contribution to the running of the Building Surveying team and I’m sure he’ll do an excellent job in this new role. We believe strongly in the development of our people while giving them the chance to put their ideas into practice. We’re looking forward to seeing our Building Surveying team expand further with James’s encouragement and leadership.’

Vickery Holman was established over 30 years ago and is the largest multi-disciplinary property consultancies in the South West with over 20 RICS Registered Valuers, a successful commercial property Agency, a growing Property Management team and a thriving General Practice Surveying team.
