Vickery Holman have recently concluded the letting of the Grade II listed Castle Villa at 53 Castle Street, Truro.
The building has been let to Falmouth Bay Seafood Café who, following five years of successful trading, are expanding from their current premises directly across the road at Castle Lodge.
The property comprises a ground floor showroom, store and office which measure 112.8 sq m (1,214 sq ft) as well as a 2 bedroom flat above, and was offered at an asking rent of £21,500 per annum.
The new tenants will be refitting the ground floor to provide a high quality restaurant and bar with commercial kitchen over the coming weeks, and plan to open in June. In the meantime it will be business as usual from their current premises.
Valerie Thomson, Director of Falmouth Bay Seafood Café comments “We have been looking to grow our successful family business for some time and when the building opposite became available it was too good an opportunity to miss. We have had to turn customers away on numerous occasions recently and look forward to offering the same quality of seafood and exceptional levels of service to both our existing and potential new diners from our exciting new restaurant.”
Vickery Holman have been chosen to market their former premises which make an ideal start up unit for another young business. Their former café is available from Spring at the passing rent of £7,500 per annum, plus £5,000 for fixtures and fittings.
Neil Stubbs of Vickery Holman comments “It has been a pleasure dealing with Valerie and Jeff at The Falmouth Bay Seafood Café and we are pleased to have been appointed in the letting of their current premises.”
