Epsom’s Ashley Centre appoints new office and retail agents

The Ashley Centre, Epsom’s premier shopping destination, has made three key appointments to its office and retail leasing teams. Bray Fox Smith and Stiles Harold Williams (SHW) have been appointed joint agents on its office lettings, while Lunson Mitchenall joins GCW on retail and F&B lettings.

Clare Lane at Bray Fox Smith and Mark Skelton at SHW will work collaboratively on leasing the office space at the Ashley Centre’s Global House. They will together market a prime opportunity for up to 50,000 sq ft of office space within the heart of the town centre, repositioning the Ashley Centre as a mixed-use, multi-purpose scheme.

Clare Lane, Director at Bray Fox Smith, commented: “We are delighted to have been appointed to work on this exciting repositioning opportunity. The refurbishment works to both the Ashley Centre and Global House will provide first-class office and retail opportunities for Epsom, embedding its position as the premier shopping destination.”

Mark Skelton, Partner at Stiles Harold Williams, said: “SHW are delighted to continue our involvement in Global House and pleased to be part of the Ashley Centre team. Global House is a major office building in the town, and it is great news that the owners are investing in the asset, providing some much-needed high-quality offices in the town centre.”

Lunson Mitchenall and GCW will drive forward the Ashley Centre’s retail and leasing strategy, drawing on their extensive collective experience and knowledge of the sector. With the upcoming arrival of anchor store Primark, which opens in 2025, the completion of the centre’s £7 million refurbishment, and the recent openings of GAIL’s, Deichmann, and JD, the team will build on the existing momentum to revitalise the Ashley Centre. They will focus on further elevating the tenant mix and enhancing the offer for Epsom’s growing consumer base.

William Hooper, Director at Lunson Mitchenall, added: “The Ashley Centre is a fantastic new instruction for Lunson Mitchenall, and we are thrilled to be part of the team. The landlord’s recent investment has elevated the centre to new heights, and we look forward to attracting more aspirational brands and new concepts that resonate with the affluent catchment.”

The Ashley Centre’s refurbishment is due to complete in the coming months, seeing enhancements to the interior and a reconstruction of the centre’s East entrance, creating a refreshed and modern look for visitors.
