A leading property consultancy has hired two commercial property management professionals with over 30 years’ experience between them to grow its influence in and around Birmingham.
Mark Povey and Jose Perez have both joined Fisher German’s commercial property management team, based at its Birmingham office on Colmore Row.
Mark, who joins as a senior associate after property management experience with a range of companies including Cushman & Wakefield, St Modwen, and BT, will work across a mix of key client portfolios.
He will also play an active role in helping graduates settle into the company and improve through a mentoring scheme.
Mark said: “Fisher German’s ambitious growth plans made them an attractive company to join, and its new Birmingham office in Colmore Row was a big draw for me.
“The firm is in an excellent position to really improve its share of the commercial property management market in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, and I really wanted to be a part of that growth.
“I’m also looking forward to mentoring new graduates who start their careers with Fisher German. I worked my way up through my career in property myself, so I know what it’s like to come in as a young professional without a lot of experience.
“I’m hopeful I can play a key role in growing the commercial property management team’s influence in and around Birmingham and continuing to provide a superb service for Fisher German’s clients.”
Jose joins Fisher German as an associate after stints with companies such as JLL and the former DTZ, along with smaller firms.
He will primarily be looking after a wide range of industrial and commercial assets for major Fisher German clients, as well as private clients with smaller portfolios.
“I joined Fisher German because I wanted to get back into working for a bigger firm that has a good presence in Birmingham,” Jose said.
“Fisher German was always a well-respected name as I progressed through my career, so when the opportunity came up I wanted to take advantage of it.
“The broad range of clients I’ve worked for, the kinds of portfolios I’ve managed, and my knowledge of the area means I can play a valuable role in growing the commercial property management team’s presence in the Midlands.”
Kerry Whitehill, Partner at Fisher German, said: “Mark and Jose are highly experienced professionals with a superb network of contacts, and we are really pleased they have joined Fisher German.
“Our Birmingham office, right in the heart of the city in Colmore Row with many other major players, was a big reason for both of them choosing to join us.
“We’re confident Mark and Jose will help us win new work and strengthen the excellent relationships we have with our existing clients.”
