Commercial property agents John Truslove have been appointed to manage the Ravensbank House office block in Redditch.
The move follows on from the business clinching one of the biggest office lettings in the town in the last ten years when Swiss packaging machine manufacturer Bobst Group unveiled a major expansion by taking more than 10,000 sq ft in the North Moons Moat complex on a ten-year lease.
The world’s leading supplier of machinery and services to packaging manufacturers in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible material industries, it wanted the extra space for a showroom and offices in addition to an existing 6,000 sq ft unit at Broad Ground Road, Lakeside, which it retained as a spare parts and storage centre.
It meant Ravensbank House was fully let – to the delight of owners SSE Audio Group and directors John and Heather Penn.
Now they have called in John Truslove to handle the running of the building.
SSE Audio Group provides sound design for shows, tours and permanent installations; audio equipment servicing and repair; and equipment and case fabrication. Down the years many top groups have used its equipment including The Undertones, The Buzzcocks, UB40, Nik Kershaw, Simply Red, AC/DC and Metallica.
Mr Penn said: “John Truslove did a great job in getting Ravensbank House fully let – so much so that we decided they should manage the premises.
“We wanted it run by a firm with an established network of locally based contractors which, I am pleased to say, has already seen cost savings and efficiencies.”
John Truslove partner Ben Truslove said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured this prestigious management contract.
“The Bobst deal was terrific news for the town and demonstrated that it remains a magnet for manufacturers and distributors.”
