National developer Gladman has completed its £2 million infrastructure project at Cullompton Business Park adjoining junction 28 of the M5 Motorway in mid-Devon. The development, which is adjacent to the Kingsmill Industrial Estate, has full planning consent for over 140,000 sq ft of industrial and distribution space in four individual buildings, starting from 25,000 sq ft.
Andy Hartwright of Gladman commented: “Cullompton is one of a number of major investment programmes we have undertaken within the last 12 months and is in direct response to the level of enquiries we have been experiencing for new build development. With almost five years of little or no commercial property development taking place, there are a number of regions and companies operating within them that are finding it difficult to expand and grow. Our scheme is consented, funded and deliverable and we are well positioned to serve the emerging pre let and pre sale market.”
Gladman has been established in the commercial property market for over 25 years and has built in excess of 10 million sq ft of industrial and business parks throughout the UK. It already has a number of active schemes along the M5 Corridor at Bristol, Gloucester and Tewkesbury.
Mr Hartwright added: “The South West is a strong regional market which has a number of mature and established businesses but also attracts new entrants because of its excellent work / life balance.”
Alder King and Jones Lang LaSalle are joint agents on the scheme.
