Three Cardiff hotels – the Radisson Blu Cardiff, Park Inn by Radisson Cardiff North, and Park Inn by Radisson Cardiff City Centre – are delighted to announce a new two-year partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity.
The hotels, all managed by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, will help to raise money for Variety in order to improve the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children across Wales and the UK.
The charity provides wheelchairs, coaches and specialist equipment and it focuses on supporting children’s hospitals and youth clubs, offering outings, special events and treats to vulnerable young people.
The Radisson Blu Cardiff, Park Inn by Radisson Cardiff North, and Park Inn by Radisson Cardiff City Centre will be offering guests and members of the local community the opportunity to donate to Variety through a number of initiatives: such as a collection in the hotel, fundraising events and other activities including charity cycle rides, sponsored walks, cake sales and charity fun days.
The Radisson Blu Cardiff and both Park Inn by Radisson Hotels in the city will also be taking part in the national “Quids for Kids” campaign. The scheme adds an optional £1 charge to guests’ bills, which will be shared equally between Variety, and Carlson Rezidor’s corporate charity, the World Childhood Foundation.
Jens Hallman, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Cardiff, said: “As well as providing some really special experiences for sick or disadvantaged children, Variety also gives some really practical support through the provision of coaches, wheelchairs and other equipment. The charity makes a huge difference to the lives of these vulnerable young people and we hope that through our three hotels in Cardiff, we will be able to raise some much needed funds for this worthwhile cause.”
Richard Moore, Area Vice President UK and Ireland, comments: “Carlson Rezidor is thrilled to have signed a nationwide partnership with Variety. Variety is a great cause and we hope our partnership can help to enrich the lives of those vulnerable young people in our local communities throughout the UK. We are confident that this partnership can raise vital funds to really make a difference”
