A popular Luton trading estate is now fully let after national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) secured the final tenant.
LSH’s Luton office recently completed the letting of Unit 6, Windmill Trading Estate, to Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS). The 3,299 sq ft industrial warehouse unit was refurbished prior to occupation and sits in a prominent position at the front of the trading estate.
PTS, which is part of The Travis Perkins Group, expects to open the unit in spring 2013, creating new job opportunities for the local area.
Other occupiers at Windmill Trading Estate, which sits between Luton town centre and the airport, include Dulux, HSS Hire, Crown Paints and City Electrical Factors.
Dan Jackson, senior surveyor at LSH, said: “Windmill Trading Estate has continued to attract national trade counter operators looking to establish themselves in Luton. The strength of the location is demonstrated by the quality of tenants and the long-term lease commitments they enter into.
“Prior to this deal, we also completed lettings with Toolstation and Howden’s on the estate. Both companies had specific requirements which we were able to meet.”
James Taylor, of Travis Perkins, said: “With a number of other Travis Perkins brands, such as Toolstation, already operating successfully from the estate I am pleased that we have been able to secure a unit for PTS. Situated at the front of the estate, I am confident it will trade well when it opens shortly.”
LSH is a national commercial property consultancy that works with investors, developers and occupiers across the public and private sectors, and it is single-mindedly focused on UK and Irish property markets.
PTS supplies a comprehensive range of bathroom, heating and plumbing products to a wide range of customers, both public and private sector, from national house builders to the sole trading plumber. Acquired by Travis Perkins PLC in 2010, PTS has a nationwide network of more than 300 branches.
