Professionals turn up the heat at quiz

More than 50 business people turned up the heat at a winter quiz in Nottingham.

The Nottinghamshire RICS matrics Committee’s Inter-professional event welcomed property professionals, lawyers and accountants to The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street.

The committee is made up of 10 people from a variety of local firms. The quiz was organised by committee Chair Steph LeCouteur, a surveyor in project and development services at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).

Nick Hammond, senior surveyor in Lambert Smith Hampton’s (LSH) corporate recovery team, was the quizmaster.

Steph said: “As our first major event of the year, we were delighted with the level of participation and have received some really positive feedback.”

The winning team was QOYF – Anna Kirk from JLL, Katherine Shaw and George Acquah from PwC, and Liam Hawes and Will Bradley from LSH, who each walked away with a bottle of Champagne. Team Money Shop, captained by the firm’s Matt Turner, was presented with the wooden spoon.

Nick said: “The quiz was a great success and the committee and I were pleased to welcome so many of Nottingham’s property and professional community. We now look forward to our next events in March.”

The committee is hosting an inter-professional bowling night at Tenpin (Clifton Boulevard) on Tuesday 5 March. It is also inviting guests to the Nottingham v Newcastle championship rugby match on Friday 22 March.
