Gentian has received Reserved Matters Approval for a 4,730 sq m (50,000 sq ft) urban logistics park located just off the A3 at Petersfield, Hampshire.
Buckmore Park is being developed with sustainability at the fore of the design proposals and will achieve a BREEAM excellent rating. Set across 5 buildings, unit sizes range from 260 to 1990 sq m with 4m loading doors and 10m eave heights. The design will also allow tenants to maximise solar power generation.
Given the sensitive location within the South Downs National Park, the scheme provides significant landscaping throughout the site. A landscaped inspired sustainable drainage system feature will provide a significant biodiversity improvement opportunity. A green roof and 200m of new hedgerow planting will also help improve the green infrastructure across the site.
Buckmore Park is part of Gentian’s land promotion that includes a residential site of 85 dwellings.
Gentian Planning Director, Aiden Murray said: “I am pleased to have gained unanimous approval for this exciting development. We worked closely with officers at the South Downs National Park and Petersfield Town Council to secure a well-designed business park. It will provide a well located, modern employment floorspace within the National Park attracting economic development to Petersfield and the surrounding area. It will also seek to improve the biodiversity across the wider site.”
Work is expected to start on site in November.
