A leading property consultancy is set to open a major new office in the heart of Birmingham’s business community as it seeks to make significant investments in the city with service line expansion and the creation of new jobs.
Fisher German will be opening its new 7,300 sq ft office at 15 Colmore Row in November and is moving 70 staff from existing offices to central Birmingham in time for its opening day.
The firm, which currently has 27 offices across the UK, is looking to employ more people over the next two years as it looks to grow its engagement with the business and property community in the city.
Key services such as commercial agency, commercial property management, investment, valuation, business rates, town planning, sustainable energy, telecoms and building consultancy services will all operate out of the new office, with Fisher German looking to quickly integrate with the many businesses in the area when the office opens.
Fisher German’s current office in Harborne will close as part of the move, with all staff set to move to Colmore Row.
Stuart Flint, Divisional Managing Partner at Fisher German, said: “Birmingham is a key city where we have identified a lot of untapped potential, and our new office on Colmore Row will put us in the perfect location to grow our influence there.
“Whilst we have been active around Birmingham for around 30 years from our offices in a number of surrounding counties, central Birmingham’s highly accessible location made it a desirable place to expand our West Midlands operations from, not only for our clients but for our staff too.
“We are demonstrating our commitment to our work in the city by moving many of our staff here and recruiting for numerous service lines. We are already looking for talented individuals to join the team as we look to grow quickly.”
The planned move comes after Fisher German’s merger with the former Matthews & Goodman business, creating one of the largest multi-disciplinary property consultancies in the country.
Andrew Bridge, Managing Partner at Fisher German, added: “The opening of our new office in the centre of Birmingham will allow us to target a more urban-orientated market alongside our already strong rural offering. It is the perfect addition to the established offices we have in Manchester, Liverpool and London.
“Fisher German is very much a ‘farm-to-city’ firm that provides a full range of property services for clients, from helping a landowner receive planning permission for development, advising clients on property investment strategy, and leasing commercial units to new occupiers.
“The opening of the office at Colmore Row will be the start of an exciting new chapter for Fisher German in Birmingham, and we are very much looking forward to getting started.”
