CBRE has completed on two major lettings on Weston Industrial Estate, after securing pre-lets earlier in the year subject to comprehensive and sustainability led refurbishments.
The lettings comprised a total of c.36,000 sq ft across three units which accounts for 12% of the total lettable floor area, with the estate now 95% let.
CSI Manufacturing Ltd, a laser engraving technology firm, has let Unit 2 (c.9,750 sq ft), while MCT Reman Ltd, a specialist in the remanufacture of transmissions, final drive assemblies and engines – has let units 37 and 5 & 6 as a combined space (c.26,500 sq ft altogether). Both lettings are relocations from existing South West based operations.
“These deals are a real good news story for the estate and the wider region. The fact we were able secure pre-lets on these units is an encouraging vote of confidence in occupier demand and a testament to the quality of the estate and the refurbishments,” said Alex Quicke, Senior Surveyor in the Industrial and Logistics team based in CBRE’s Bristol office.
“Each of the newly let units have been extensively refurbished with a focus on improving sustainability, including the addition of LED lighting, insulated steel profile roofs and double-glazed windows, all centered around maximising the energy efficiency of the buildings.”
Weston Industrial Estate is a modern development of industrial and business units on a 22-acre business park, where occupiers also include ScrewFix, Bradfords Building Supplies, GSF Car Parts, Denmans and Brinsea Products UK. As well as its close proximity to the M5 motorway, Weston-super-Mare rail station is just 1.5 miles away, with regular high-speed connections to London.
CBRE acted as joint agents for the landlord, alongside Burston Cook and Stephen & Co. The refurbishments were carried by JLL as well as the Asset & Property management.
