Integrated Welsh agency Golley Slater has strengthened its PR team with two new appointments.
Katie Brandon, 27 from Buckinghamshire, and Molly Slight, 22 from Kent, join the award-winning PR team based in Cardiff city centre.
Miss Brandon joins the team as a senior account manager with seven years industry experience across a range of sectors including B2B, tourism, retail and transport. She graduated in 2006 with a Law degree from Swansea University and started her career at a London PR agency before relocating to Cardiff five years ago. Katie will be working on a range of government, B2B and consumer clients.
She said: “It’s a pleasure to join the award-winning team at Golley Slater. Having worked in PR for a number of years, I’m excited to bring my experience to the team and continue developing as a PR professional with one of the top agencies in Wales. As a CIPR member, I know how important it is to keep abreast of new developments in PR, particularly social media, and I’m looking forward to working in an environment where I can build upon my knowledge and continue to progress.”
Miss Slight graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2012 with a degree in English with Creative Writing. She joins the team as an account executive, working across several specialisms including consumer, B2B and public sector.
She said: “It’s fantastic to be able to start my career at one of the top PR agencies in Wales. I’m looking forward to working across a range of sectors and helping to promote some big brand names. I’m sure I will be able to learn a lot from such an experienced team.”
Matt Appleby, managing director of Golley Slater Wales PR, said: “After a successful year and significant new client wins last year we are pleased to be welcoming new recruits to the team. Katie and Molly bring new expertise, interests and experience to add to the mix we have in the team here in Wales as we look forward to an already busy 2013/14.”
