Frozen food chain Farmfoods has signed a 10-year lease on a new 20,600 sqft retail warehouse at Birchley Island Retail Park in Oldbury.
The retailer is currently fitting out the new unit, which it expects to open by the end of May (2023).
Birchley Island Retail Park was opened in May 2022, following Hortons’ redevelopment of the former Oldbury Toys ‘R’ Us site, off Wolverhampton Road near Junction 2 of the M5.
The new multi-let retail park is already home to a JD Gyms, Swim!, B&M, McDonalds and a Tim Hortons drive-thru restaurant.
Richard Walker, commercial surveyor at Hortons’ Estate, said: “Farmfoods completes a strong occupier line-up at Birchley Island Retail Park and our successful transformation of the site.”
Simon Smith, director of retail and leisure specialist with Wright Silverwood, added: “We are delighted to have been able to help Hortons’ Estate with the leasing of this new retail park development. It’s great to see the final piece of the jigsaw in place.”
