Work on a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ multi-let industrial development in Coventry is underway. Delivered by Barwood, in partnership with Deeley Construction and project managed by CS2, the scheme will bring 78,000 sq ft of new, EPC A-rated accommodation to Exhall, Coventry.
Located adjacent to Junction 3 of the M6 motorway, the development will provide new industrial space to a supply constrained market, situated next to the established Bayton Road Industrial Estate. Units will range from 2,000 sq ft to 27,500 sq ft.
“We expect the prominence of this scheme, its proximity to the M6 motorway and its sustainability credentials, will appeal to a range of occupiers in this location, who have been starved of Grade A supply in recent years. The development has been designed to mitigate its carbon footprint using high-quality M+E systems, installation of photovoltaic systems, EV charging points and well considered ecological green spaces. Enquiries at this early stage are robust.’’ said Nick Masters, Senior Investment Manager at Barwood Capital.
The development is expected to reach practical completion in October this year.
Retained agents for the scheme are Adam McGuiness and Milly Aps from Carter Jonas, together with Sam Cooper and Tom Bromwich from Bromwich Hardy.
Martin Gallagher, Managing Director of Deeley Construction, said: “There is a clear need for industrial space which can support businesses seeking to grow and expand in Coventry. We are pleased to be underway on site in Exhall and to be working on a scheme which will bring significant benefits to the economy in Coventry and the wider region. The development will be delivered with high-sustainability credentials, which is a priority of our business as we work towards our net zero goals.”
