Property consultants Alder King have sold the freehold of the former Travis Perkins depot in the St Philips area of Bristol to a private purchaser.
The 23,369 sq ft warehouse became available after Alder King secured larger, more modern premises for the builders’ merchant on Days Road. Following a substantial refurbishment and upgrade, Travis Perkins relocated to the new Days Road site last year and instructed Alder King to sell its former site.
Prominently located on Albert Road in Bristol’s traditional industrial heartland of St Philips, the freehold semi-detached property occupies a 0.89 acre site and provides warehouse and office accommodation with a first floor mezzanine and a secure yard with 10 car parking spaces.
Emma Smith of Alder King’s industrial agency team said: “Demand for freehold stock has been a strong feature of the market for several years now, with new freehold opportunities typically attracting a large number of bids. We were able to achieve a premium sale price for Travis Perkins which reflected the calibre and prominent location of the property.”
