After around 16 years in offices at Sutton Harbour, Plymouth Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers, PKF Francis Clark have now relocated to Royal William Yard into the newly refurbished Melville Building.
Located in the middle of the stunning surroundings of the Royal William Yard, Melville is a three storey building arranged around a courtyard and is undergoing an extensive and sympathetic refurbishment both internally and externally to provide a largely open plan working environment albeit with PKF Francis Clark’s own custom designed input to the layout whilst retaining the period features of the building and its waterside industrial/warehouse heritage.
The suite provides approximately 8500 sq ft of floorspace arranged over two floors together with an allocation of around 35 car spaces.
John Slade of Monk & Partners comments “We were extremely pleased to have been asked to represent PKF Francis Clark in advising on their acquisition of a new lease here.
The space they have taken has retained the original features of the building with exposed pillars, loading doors, metal framed windows, bare timber floors in part and open ceilings to the rafters as well as incorporating a modern glazed entrance, lift, lighting, heating and welfare facilities to provide what is now an outstanding working environment.
Royal William Yard has proved to be an extremely successful development with a vibrant feel and I believe will prove to be a great place to work and operate from having already attracted a wide range of occupiers including numerous professional offices, along with an Everyman Cinema, numerous national and local restaurants, retailers, gym as well as other leisure users.
PKF Francis Clark’s Plymouth office Managing partner Duncan Leslie commented “having grown the Plymouth team from 38 to over 100 since 2006, we consider the new offices in The Royal William Yard will provide the right location for our next phase of growth along with an opportunity to re-imagine our working environment.
