Property specialists Stoford celebrated the start on site of a 63-bedroom Premier Inn hotel and restaurant in Dudley.
Gerard Ludlow, Stoford’s development manager for the £3.5million scheme invited colleagues, Steve Holland, Head of Asset Management for Homes and Communities Agency; John Bates, Head of Acquisitions UK and Ireland, Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants; Noel Muscutt, Partner at Bulleys chartered surveyors and Andy Elwell, Managing Director, Anglo Holt Construction to inspect the work.
The development, scheduled for completion mid 2013, is Stoford’s second scheme at Castlegate Business Park following planning approval for a 10,000 sq ft two-storey building pre-let to the West Midlands Probation Services.
Gerard Ludlow said: “We are delighted to be working with construction specialists Anglo Holt to build another hotel for Premier Inn in the region.”
John Bates said: “Castlegate Business Park is an ideal location for a new Premier Inn in the Black Country, with great road access and plentiful restaurants and entertainment nearby for our customers. It really is a prime site and this development with Stoford takes us one step closer to achieving our target of increasing our 50,000 Premier Inn bedrooms across the UK to 65,000 by 2016.
“I look forward to opening the doors to our Dudley customers in mid 2013, and supporting local businesses in the area.”
