RWK Goodman is pleased to announce that Patrick Duggan has joined the firm’s construction and engineering team as a senior associate.
Based in the Bath office, Patrick, who joins from Taylor Rose, is a construction disputes specialist with a background in quantity surveying and has worked predominantly in commercial litigation since he qualified as a solicitor in 1999.
Patrick is able to support clients across the whole range of issues that typically crop up in construction disputes including the design and construction of commercial and residential developments, civil engineering works, including road, rail, tunnelling and pipeline projects, retail and leisure projects, educational facilities and research laboratories, power generation and transmission projects, mechanical, electrical and water treatment plant, and renewable energy projects, both on and offshore.
As a former quantity surveyor, Patrick has in-depth experience of construction and engineering projects. This knowledge means he is always quick to grasp the relevant issues and is able to help his clients move to a resolution in as short a timeframe as possible. Notably Patrick also has higher rights of audience which allow him to represent his clients in court.
Patrick says: “Construction & engineering disputes are for me the more interesting side of the law. They allow you to sometimes deal with very technical issues and sometimes to get stuck in and get your hands dirty with the more basic realities of building. RWK Goodman has a leading reputation in this discipline and I am delighted to have joined their team in Bath.”
