A Coventry company’s Wembley season kicked off this week when England took on Brazil in an international friendly.
Aesthetics, which provides event staff for a range of international blue-chip companies and is based at Electric Wharf, in Coventry, won the contract to supply the national stadium for a range of events when the stadium opened in 2007 and still continues to work with the stadium as their preferred supplier of event-day hosts and hostesses.
That means sporting and music events from this week’s international to concerts such as Bruce Springsteen and Robbie Williams.
More than 80 hosts and hostesses were supplied by Aesthetics for last the friendly, which is part of the FA’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Lee Thomas, the company’s managing director, said: “The Wembley contract is extremely prestigious and to be asked once again to supply staff for the sixth year since it reopened is great news.
“You only have to look at the first event in 2013– England against Brazil – to see the profile of events our hosts and hostesses will be looking after.
“Our staff are handpicked to offer exceptional customer service to corporate guests and sponsors because it is all about making the customer experience as special as possible.
“Looking after corporate clients is what our staff do best and, over the course of the year we will be supplying up to 350 staff working at Wembley, depending on the type and size of event.”
Thomas founded Aesthetics in 1996 after several years working in the promotions and events industry as a senior event manager.
She spotted a gap in the market and now has more than 8,000 staff on Aesthetics’ books that cover events around the world for clients such as Premier League football clubs, IT, banking and major automotive brands.
There are also ten permanent staff based at the company’s Electric Wharf headquarters.
