A local government department is relocating its Bristol offices to 70 Redcliff Street, a newly refurbished building which is the largest leasing deal in the city centre office market this quarter.
70 Redcliff Street, which is asset managed by XLB Property, became vacant in 2021 and was subsequently comprehensively refurbished to provide high quality open plan office space arranged across ground and three upper floors. There is also excellent onsite parking plus brand new cycle storage and outstanding shower facilities.
The department has taken leases on the whole building which is just under 20,000 sq. ft. The move comes after its current office at 3 Rivergate, Temple Quay is due to undergo a major refurbishment creating a need to find alternative office accommodation in a central location.
Richard Kidd, CBRE’s Head of Office Agency across the South West and South Wales, said: “The accommodation offered at 70 Redcliff Street is ideal for this occupier as it gives them maximum flexibility in a high quality prominent building located close to city centre amenities and Temple Meads station.”
Alexander Johns, XLB commented “We are thrilled with the quality of the refurbishment, the new reception and sense of arrival and increased facilities which all contributed to an increase in net internal area and rental growth of 55%.”
70 Redcliff Street was jointly marketed by CBRE and Colliers.
