A Bristol Based Intellectual Property (IP) law firm, Haseltine Lake Kempner (HLK) is pleased to announce the completion of its Bristol office move to a new generation sustainable office space – One Portwall Square.
Built by developer Nord and contractor Skanska with a top design team, One Portwall Square sets a new standard for the Bristol office market focusing on tenant amenity and wellbeing as well as excellent environmental credentials. It is a highly efficient, sustainable property that has been built to a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating. The office uses an innovative means of cooling its internal spaces, and its mixed mode ventilation system monitors external conditions to control the office temperature. The building is connected to the Bristol Heat Network.
The move marks another milestone in the firm’s journey to becoming a leading European IP firm, headquartered in Bristol. Since 1850, when Haseltine Lake was created, through to its merger in 2019 with boutique IP legal practice Kempner & Partners, the HLK of today is a modern and progressive IP powerhouse, providing a full suite of IP legal services in all technical and scientific disciplines.
Graham Lambert, Chief Executive, HLK, commented: “We are thrilled to move to this new, inspiring, and vibrant office space. The innovations and sustainability designed into One Portwall Square resonate with our mission to support the innovators in society, protecting their intellectual property and thereby helping to drive further progress. The office concept is very much in line with our ethos of being a progressive and dynamic employer with a real focus on our peoples’ wellbeing, and with a collaborative and supportive working environment that allows colleagues to flourish and deliver the best service to our clients”.
