The official launch of Bullet Express’s newest storage centre, located at one of Scotland’s largest, fully enclosed, industrial distribution and office parks, has taken place. Clare Bottle, Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), officially opened Bullet Express Westway Storage Centre, close to Glasgow airport, which has 67,000 square feet of storage, substantial eaves height to allow optimum storage space for 12,500 pallets and easy access to both the M8 and Glasgow Airport.
Bullet Express has grown rapidly across the UK and the new facility will see the business increase its storage and distribution capacity by 30%. The new warehouse has already created new jobs with many new team-members being employed from the local area.
John McKail, Managing Director at Bullet Express, said:
“We’re proud to be able to give Clare Bottle, the Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association, a tour of our new Bullet Express Westway Storage Centre in Renfrew, along with our other operating centres at Bothwell, Baillieston and London Road in Glasgow. The extra capacity provided by the new centre further establishes Bullet Express as one of the best connected logistics businesses in the UK and helps meet the growing demands from clients for access to even more storage space.
“With quick access to both the M8 and Glasgow Airport, the connectivity provided at Bullet Express Westway Storage Centre is second to none. We’re already storing for a number of our key customers, who value having access to 67,000 square feet of our state of the art storage, with its close connections to Glasgow airport and major transport routes. The introduction of Bullet Express Westway means we will continue to grow our business and provide even more businesses with quality logistics and storage spaces.”
Clare Bottle, Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association, said:
“It was great to be taken by the Bullet Express team on a tour of their distribution and storage centres across Glasgow. Being part of the official opening of their new Bullet Express Westway storage centre showed just how vital these facilities have become to supply chains and businesses across the UK.
